Kate Middleton reportedly "annoyed" by Keira Knightley's essay on her post-baby body

The Duchess of Cambridge is reportedly "annoyed" with actress Keira Knightley for the article she wrote criticizing her for her post-baby appearance.

According to Us Weekly, the Kate Middleton is particularly annoyed with Keira for having something to say about her post-baby body after giving birth to her three children with husband Prince William.

The 33-year-old recently penned an essay titled The Weaker Sex (read here), in which she said Kate came out of Lindo wing seven hours after welcoming Prince Louis in late April with her "face made up and high heels on". This, she said, is not an adequate representation of what a woman really looks like after childbirth and it puts pressure on women to try to be perfect after birth and hide their pains.

She wrote of her own scary childbirth experience:

My vagina split. I remember the sh*t, the vomit, the blood, the stitches. I remember my battleground.

Keira didn't hold anything back in her writing the article, adding:

Hide. Hide our pain, our bodies splitting, our breasts leaking, our hormones raging.Look beautiful, look stylish, don’t show your battleground, Kate.

Seven hours after your fight with life and death, seven hours after your body breaks open, and bloody, screaming life comes out. Don’t show. Don’t tell. Stand there with your girl and be shot by a pack of male photographers.

A Kensington Palace source, reacting to the comment, said to US Weekly:

Keira is obviously entitled to her own opinion, but it was very much based on her own experiences and not of Kate’s. Not every mother feels the same way.

Keira’s comments were simply for attention and they weren’t justified.

She wouldn’t have done the photo call a second and third time if she was uncomfortable.
